God's Country

God’s Country is a three-part mini series that follows the struggles and joys of the Lappi Family as they care for their disabled father, Lauri. The series incorporates original photography, video interviews, and digitized 8mm footage that I collected.

During the 4 months of production, I lived near Lauri in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and spent time with him nearly everyday documenting his life. I owe a great deal to the Lappi Family for their openness, patience, and generosity.
